Househunting

I'm househunting. It's a bit scary. I've not been in a position to buy a house in many many years. It's fascinating looking at the varying standards of houses- all depending on the areas they're in. I haven't found "the" house yet. I need a 3 bedroom house so that family and friends can stay. And of course it has to be in my price range. It's quite an adventure!

Family

My Uncle Andrew your hat is almost as good as mine!

Is this really my baby sister?
Andrew and I went over to visit Tim and Sarah last Thursday. I say "over" because you have to go over Haywards Hill on the way to their house, the drive takes about an hour. They seem to be managing OK, they're a lovely little family!
This last weekend Andrew and I went down to the South Island to visit Phil and Magenta, we took the inter island ferry on Friday night after I'd finished work and stayed in Blenheim, then drove down to Christchurch on Saturday. We had a good couple of days with them- even withstood -8 deg frosts (now I know that doesn't sound very cold but believe me it is when you're not used to it!). And we drove and took the ferry back yesterday. Andrew's still on leave but I had to go back to work today. I have some photos of the Christchurch trip on my camera, I'll try and upload them soon!

Ija

Well it's hard to believe that Ija is 8 days old. I've seen her once- Andrew, Kath and I vivisted Sarah, Ija and Tim at the hospital on Tuesday. Already Ija looks different- her hair is not red now- more blonde with a ginger tinge, and her eyes may go hazel. All is well, and Sarah and Ija were able to go home on Wednesday. Andrew and I may go and visit one evening this week.

We're going away this weekend, Andrew and me- driving down to Christchurch to see Phil and Magenta. It was too dear to fly, so we will take the car over on the ferry. It's the middle of winter, we must be mad! We are likely to freeze down there!

I had my shoulder injected last week- but although I have slightly more movement in it, it's still painful. I'm hoping it starts to improve soon!
