Good Christmas

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas day. We went to Kathryn's and had a lovely Christmas lunch with them- we had chicken, rump steak and ham, with salads and lots of desserts. The girls got huge amounts of pressies, and I got given 2 fruit bowls lol! Boxing Day Iw ent to a bbq at a friend's house, held around their pool, and then Andrew did bbq for tea here and a couple of his mates came. Today I went to see Kathryn and girls, and then went to see mum at the rest home. She wasn't so well today. Back to work tomorrow, have to start early too!

I may not blog very much any more, I feel I'm only doing this for me to view, and there really is little point otherwise.

End of the week

I'm so glad it's Friday. We've been very busy this week, every one wants to have their carpets cleaned before xmas, so we are solidy booked until Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve is on Saturday and I have to work it... ah well. Andrew and I are going to Kathryn's for Xmas lunch, it should be good. Tim and Sarah and Yana are coming too, and I'm going to try and persuade mum to come as well. I think Phil is really missing us at the moment. Christchurch is a long was away by New Zealand standards and although he has an aunt and uncle and cousins there it's not quite the same.

I'm still sore, especially at night so don't sleep very well, I thought I would have recovered quicker than this. I can cope with work as it's sitting down, but the walking has gone by the board.

Yana's growing

Hey guess what, I think I've found a way to publish my photos! I think there was a problem with the way some of the photos are saved, so I'm using a different programme to do it, and it worked! This is a photo of Yana taken at the weekend, Tim emailed it to me last night. She's just started to smile, and is 7 weeks old now.

Back again!

Back again. I had a good break down in Christchurch staying with Phil and Magenta. Didn't do a lot, as I am still pretty sore, but it was a good to be there. Phil helped me look for a car, and I did buy one, the insurance payout finally came through the day before I was due to come back, so in the end I drove the car from Christchurch to Picton and then got the ferry back to Wellington and then drove home. I had to stop every hour or so to get out and stretch as it got sore sitting for that long. The car is a 1996 Toyota Corolla auto, done only 42 000 kms. The price was reasonable, shame it's an auto, I would have preferred a manual.
One of the days I was down there, Phil and Magenta took me to Akaroa, about 80 minutes drive from Christchurch, it's a lovely little town with a French flavour and lots of lovely colonial cottages set around a harbour. The weather was lovely too that day. We had lunch in a cafe.

Back to work Monday. I got too used to being off work, it will be a bit hard to go back to work!

I still can't upload photos, even with the popup blocker turned off, any other ideas as to what might be wrong?
